Waterproofing roofs

EcoFlex is an economic water based, non-fibered asphalt emulsion, with selected colloids to formulate a durable waterproof roof coating that is suitable for damp conditions. 

The superior strength and elasticity of EcoFlex make it excellent for repairs to flashings, reinforcement for cracks in smooth surface asphalt, or for refurbishing entire roof surfaces.

This product is designed for products used on built-up roofs and other exposed surfaces with inclines of not less than 4% or 42mm/m or roofs liable to “ponding”.

Preparation

Thoroughly clean surface to remove dirt, grease and any other contamination that may adversely effect subsequent coating adhesion, and in accordance with the requirements of the technical data sheet.

Application

Apply EcoFlex as required, and in accordance with technical data sheet.

Isothane EMA elastomeric membrane is a liquid applied roof coating based on urethane prepolymers which cures to give a continuous film which is rubbery and elastic. It contains leafing aluminium which gives excellent U.V. resistance and is solar reflective.

Isothane EMA can be brush or spray applied, cures to a permanently flexible seamless membrane that, by virtue of its chemical reactivity in the wet state, has good adhesion to a wide range of substrates. Unlike more traditional bitumen based products, Isothane EMA does not readily embrittle with age, exposure to ultra violet radiation or weathering, and hence it does not crack or craze.

Preparation

Inspect surface for blisters which should be heated, cross cut if necessary, and flattened. Blisters, cracks and upstands can be treated by applying a reinforcement over the defected area between coats.

Application

Primer using Isothane PU Primer in accordance with technical data. and then apply two coats Isothane EMA to a minimum total consumption of 1 kg/m² in accordance with technical data sheet.

Noxyde is a rust preventing water based roof coating. It is waterproof, elastic (200 %), impact resisting, lead free and offers excellent protection against rust, water and many chemicals. Noxyde is ideal for the refurbishment of Plastisol and other profiled sheet roofs and cladding.

Preparation

Thoroughly clean surface to remove dirt, grease and any other contamination that may adversely effect subsequent coating adhesion, and in accordance with the requirements of the technical data sheet.Inspect surface for mechanical damage, thoroughly clean and locally prime with Noxyde, thinned with 25% water.

Application

Primer by applying Noxyde, thinned 25 % with water and then apply by brush, roller or spray in multiple coats to achieve a total build of 0.8 kg/m² wet, 350µm dry film thickness.
